Beschreibung:
4,6-Dimethoxy-1H-indole-2,3-dione (DMID) is a potent inhibitor of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) that has been synthesized in the laboratory. DMID inhibits HIV replication by inhibiting the reverse transcriptase enzyme. DMID also inhibits mycophenolic acid synthesis. This drug could be used as a lead compound for the development of new anti-HIV drugs.
