Kushenol E is a natural compound that is found in an extract from the Chinese herb Philippinensis (Polygonum multiflorum). This extract may be useful for treating metabolic disorders, such as obesity and diabetes. It may also be useful for treating Alzheimer's disease or Parkinson's disease due to its ability to inhibit autophagy and increase protein synthesis in mouse hippocampal cells.
