Beschreibung:
2,4-Dihydroxy-3-methylbenzaldehyde (2,4DMBA) is a hydroxycitronellal that has potent cytotoxicity. 2,4DMBA is a monohydric aldehyde with protonation properties. It also has a hydroxyl group and an endogenous chemical structure. 2,4DMBA is found in the leaves and flowers of many plants, including eucalyptus and laurel leaves. It has been used in the past as an extract from penicillic acid to treat cancer.
