Beschreibung

2,6-Dimethoxypyridin-3-amine is a pyridine derivative that has potent cytotoxic properties. It has demonstrated significant cytotoxicity in several tumor cell lines and has been shown to inhibit the growth of human cancer cells. The mechanism of action is not yet known, but it may be due to its ability to inhibit protein synthesis by competitively binding to ribosomes. 2,6-Dimethoxypyridin-3-amine inhibits the assembly of DNA into nucleosomes, which reduces the rate of DNA synthesis and cellular proliferation. This agent also binds to ligands at high affinity and low nonspecific binding with hydrogen bonds or dihedral angles. These interactions are highly specific for the ligand, making it an ideal candidate for cancer therapy.
