Beschreibung:
Dibenzyl phosphite is a compound that has been used as an antiviral and anticancer agent. It is also a potent inhibitor of protein synthesis in eukaryotic cells. Dibenzyl phosphite has shown to be active against the human papilloma virus, herpes simplex, influenza virus, and HIV-1. This drug can also inhibit protein synthesis in the cell, leading to cell death by inhibiting the production of proteins vital for cell division. Dibenzyl phosphite has been shown to have toxic effects on skin cells, which may be due to its ability to induce apoptosis.
