Beschreibung:2,4-Dichlorobenzamide is a disinfectant that is used to kill bacteria and fungi. It works by binding to the receptor sites on cells, preventing the uptake of chloride ions and disrupting the coagulation process. 2,4-Dichlorobenzamide has been shown to cause coagulation at high concentrations in the presence of human protein. The molecular modelling studies show that it can bind to a dipole in the amide region of proteins. This drug has also been shown to inhibit corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH) production in rat brain tissue, which is involved in the stress response.
