Beschreibung

Diazinon is an organophosphate insecticide that inhibits the enzyme acetylcholinesterase, which breaks down the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. Diazinon has been shown to be an effective insecticide for arthropods such as cockroaches and mosquitoes. It has a synergistic effect when used with other insecticides such as molluscicides and larvicides, which are not active against adult insects. Diazinon has also been shown to be effective in wastewater treatment because of its ability to inhibit bacterial esterase enzymes.
