Beschreibung:
(+)-Dibenzyl-L-tartrate is a chiral compound that is used as a rotator in the separation of racemic mixtures. It is soluble in acidic and alkaline solutions, which makes it useful for acid catalyzed reactions. (+)-Dibenzyl-L-tartrate has been shown to be an effective inhibitor of Staphylococcus epidermidis. This compound has also been shown to have a high resistance to oxidation, making it a suitable candidate for use in lipid studies because lipids are susceptible to oxidation.
