- 1,5-Naphthyridine, 2,6-dichloro-
2,6-Dichloro-1,5-naphthyridine is an imine compound that contains a nitrogen atom. It has been shown to react with various metal compounds to form zerovalent metal complexes such as chlorides, bromides and iodides. 2,6-Dichloro-1,5-naphthyridine is a member of the class of compounds known as imines and can be used in cross-coupling reactions. This compound has been shown to react thermally with activated esters or amides to produce polymers. The molecular weight of these polymers is dependent on the number of monomers reacted. 2,6-Dichloro-1,5-naphthyridine can also be synthesized by reacting fluorescers with an acceptor material.
