Beschreibung

1,3-Diaminourea is a reactive molecule that has been shown to have antiinflammatory activity. It can be used in the treatment of infectious diseases, such as tuberculosis. 1,3-Diaminourea is an amine that undergoes hydrolysis to form urea and ammonia. It also reacts with copper chloride to form copper amine and copper hydroxide. The reaction mechanism for this compound is unknown, but it has been shown that 1,3-diaminourea may react with copper chloride by forming a complex between the nitrogen atom and one of the hydrogen atoms on the methyl ethyl group. This reaction produces an alkaline solution which is then neutralized by the formation of ammonia gas and water.
