Beschreibung

cis-1,3-Dichloropropene is an organic compound that is used as a fumigant. It has high values of toxicity in animal studies, and it has been shown to cause chronic exposure and carcinogenesis in some animal models. cis-1,3-Dichloropropene is used as a nematicide because of its ability to inhibit the protein synthesis of nematodes. This chemical also inhibits polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and enzyme activities in cells. cis-1,3-Dichloropropene can be used to kill weeds by spraying them with this chemical; however, it can also damage plants that are not targeted for treatment.
