Beschreibung

Dexamethasone sodium phosphate is a synthetic corticosteroid that is used in the treatment of certain inflammatory conditions. It is a prodrug that is hydrolyzed to dexamethasone, its active form, by esterases in various tissues. Dexamethasone sodium phosphate can be administered intravenously or intravitreally. Dexamethasone sodium phosphate has been shown to be effective for the treatment of bowel disease and has minimal side-effect profiles. A study was conducted on dexamethasone sodium phosphate and il-2 receptor in rats with experimentally induced perilymphatic fistula. The results showed that dexamethasone sodium phosphate was able to inhibit the IL-2 receptor and reduce the severity of inflammation in the perilymphatic space.
