• Beschreibung: 1,5-Dimethylnaphthalene is a ternary mixture of naphthalene, dimethylnaphthalene, and 1,5-dimethylnaphthalene. It is prepared by the solid-phase synthesis of the corresponding monomers. The thermodynamic properties of 1,5-dimethylnaphthalene were investigated using proton NMR spectroscopy. The proton NMR spectrum was found to be dependent on the solvent and temperature. Proton NMR spectra were also determined for carbofuran and trifluoroacetic acid. These experiments revealed that 1,5-dimethylnaphthalene is a good fluorescence probe with chemical reactions in aromatic hydrocarbons. This compound has been used as a component in the preparation of fatty acids in flow systems.
