• Beschreibung: Deoxy-bigCHAP is an inhibitor of polyclonal antibodies that are used in immunoassays that measure the concentration of proteins. It is a competitive inhibitor of ester linkages and has been shown to inhibit the growth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, which is associated with severe respiratory infections. Deoxy-bigCHAP has also been shown to affect biochemical properties such as carbon source utilization and enzyme activity. It is a non-toxic, reversible inhibitor that can be easily removed by enzymatic hydrolysis or chemical cleavage with strong acids or base. The type strain for this compound is S. tuberosum, while the plant species from which it was isolated is Solanum tuberosum (potato).
