Beschreibung

N-Desmethyl vinblastine is a synthetic drug that inhibits the growth of cancer cells by binding to DNA. It has been shown to inhibit the synthesis of RNA and protein in vivo in animal models. This drug has also been shown to bind to and inhibit the activity of enzymes such as carbonyl reductase, which is responsible for the reduction of carbonyl compounds into alcohols. The sodium formate oxidation technique is used for the synthesis of N-Desmethyl vinblastine, which involves an organic solvent.
