Produktinformation
- Bis(4-methoxyphenyl)iodonium tetrafluoroborate
Di(p-anisyl)iodonium tetrafluoborate is a reagent that has been used to synthesize iodothyronine derivatives. It has been shown to be an effective inhibitor of angiogenesis in vitro and in vivo. The compound binds to the amine group of proteins, thereby preventing the formation of an amine-protein complex with the enzyme tyrosinase, which is required for melanin synthesis. Di(p-anisyl)iodonium tetrafluoborate also prevents the binding of hydrogen peroxide to tyrosinase, inhibiting melanin production. The structural analogs of di(p-anisyl)iodonium tetrafluoborate have also been shown to inhibit angiogenesis by inhibiting erythropoiesis and megakaryopoiesis.
