Beschreibung:1,4-Diamino-2,3-dihydroanthraquinone is an impurity found in the manufacture of the drug dermatan sulfate. It can be used as a chromatographic method for the detection of skin tumor cells. This compound has been shown to have neurodevelopmental and environmental effects. The liquid chromatography methods for this compound are based on its fluorescence properties, but it can also be detected by optical absorbance or by nmr spectroscopy. 1,4-Diamino-2,3-dihydroanthraquinone has been shown to cause cytotoxicity and morphological changes in liver cells in vitro.
