Beschreibung

3,3'-Diaminodipropylamine is a polyamine that can be used to inhibit biofilm formation. It has been shown to have strong anti-biofilm properties and can be used as a potential therapeutic agent for the treatment of fungal infections. 3,3'-Diaminodipropylamine inhibits the production of polyamines by inhibiting the enzyme ornithine decarboxylase. This inhibition results in decreased production of polyamines, which are essential for cell division and DNA synthesis. 3,3'-Diaminodipropylamine also interacts with bacterial DNA and disrupts hydrogen bonding interactions.
