Beschreibung

1,2-Dibromo-4-(1,2-dibromoethyl)cyclohexane is a synthetic androgen that has been shown to have tissue selectivity. It binds to the androgen receptor in tissues such as the prostate gland and skeletal muscle, where it stimulates the production of male sex hormones. 1,2-Dibromo-4-(1,2-dibromoethyl)cyclohexane has been detected in human plasma at concentrations of 1.5 ng/mL. This compound also displays strong metabolic properties in humans. The metabolic rate of 1,2-Dibromo-4-(1,2-dibromoethyl)cyclohexane is approximately 4 times higher than that of testosterone. In addition, this compound binds to SHBG with an affinity similar to that of testosterone and dihydrotestosterone (DHT).
