4-[3-(Dibutylamino)propoxy]benzoic acid hydrochloride is a synthetic compound that can be used as an intermediate in the synthesis of dronedarone. It also has a number of applications in organic chemistry. 4-[3-(Dibutylamino)propoxy]benzoic acid hydrochloride is synthesized by reacting benzoyl chloride with 3-aminopropanol and butylamine in the presence of a base. This reaction produces 4-[3-(dibutylamino)propoxy]benzoic acid and benzoic acid hydrochloride, from which the desired product is obtained.
