Beschreibung:Didemethyl mifepristone is a synthetic glucocorticoid that has been shown to have a high affinity for the glucocorticoid receptor. It has been found to decrease insulin sensitivity and cortisol levels in healthy volunteers. The effects of didemethyl mifepristone on cortisol levels may be due to its ability to block the glucocorticoid receptor, thereby preventing the binding of cortisol to this receptor. This drug also blocks various receptors, such as mineralocorticoid and progesterone receptors. It is not known if didemethyl mifepristone is an antagonist for other receptors or not.
