9,10-Dihydrolysergol is a natural compound that belongs to the group of ergoloids. It has been shown to have a concentration-dependent effect on 5-HT2 receptors in mammalian cells, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the hydrolysis of 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) by an alkaline solution. 9,10-Dihydrolysergol also inhibits the mitochondrial membrane potential and pergolide mesylate, which are important for the regulation of neuronal excitability. This compound binds to the 5-ht2a receptor and modulates fatty acid metabolism through inhibition of the enzyme fatty acid synthase.
