• Beschreibung: Dimethyloxaloylglycine (DMOG) is a protein that has been shown to activate the hypoxic response in cells. DMOG is a small molecule with significant effects on the activation of the hif-1α pathway and its downstream effector, erythropoietin (EPO). DMOG also has been shown to have antitumour immunity and anti-inflammatory activity. It stimulates an immune response by inducing the production of cytokines, including tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin-2 (IL-2), IL-6, and IL-10. The biochemical properties of DMOG are not well defined, but it has been shown to increase iron homeostasis and bowel disease in mice. DMOG also inhibits polymerase chain reaction amplification of bcl-2 protein and tubulointerstitial injury following myocardial infarct.
