• Beschreibung: Diphenyleneiodonium chloride is a diphenyliodonium salt that inhibits neuronal death and induces pluripotent stem cells. It has been shown to activate toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) which initiates the inflammatory response, leading to the activation of growth factor-β1 and polymerase chain reactions. This compound also has an oral hypoglycemic effect and can be used as an antidiabetic drug. Diphenyleneiodonium chloride has also been shown to induce oxidative cell death in cancer cells by inhibiting the production of NADPH oxidase, which is required for caspase-independent cell death.
