Beschreibung:Dicumarol is a coumarin derivative that inhibits the activity of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) by binding to DNA. It is also an inhibitor of nitrate reductase, which is an enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of nitrate to nitrite. Dicumarol binds to the response element on DNA and blocks the transcription of genes. This drug also has been shown to inhibit squamous cell carcinoma cells through interaction with DNA and protein thiols.
