Beschreibung

Dihydrocytochalasin B is a macrolide antibiotic and an inhibitor of protein synthesis. It binds to the cell membrane of red cells and internodal cells, preventing growth factor-β1 and epidermal growth factor from entering the cell. This inhibits the formation of the body and slows down its growth. Dihydrocytochalasin B also prevents fatty acids from entering the cell, which results in a decrease in energy production by mitochondria. The drug does not affect sugar transport or hydroxyl group metabolism. Dihydrocytochalasin B has been shown to be effective against human macrophages, HL-60 cells, and diabetic neuropathy.
