Beschreibung

5,7-Dihydroxyflavone (5,7-DHF) is a flavonoid that has been shown to be an anti-inflammatory cytokine with synergistic effects. It has been shown to inhibit the production of prostaglandin j2 and induce apoptosis in vitro. This compound also has a synergic effect with dinucleotide phosphate, leading to a decrease in DNA fragmentation and neuronal death. The biological properties of 5,7-DHF have been extensively studied in vitro and its anti-inflammatory activity has been confirmed by several studies on animal models. 5,7-DHF also inhibits pro-apoptotic protein expression and promotes neurogenesis in vivo. Synergic effects of 5,7-DHF have also been observed when combined with chrysin or hypoglycemic drugs such as metformin.
