Beschreibung

N,N'-Diacetylethylenediamine is an antimicrobial agent that is a derivative of ethylenediamine. It has been shown to be a reactive species that reacts with hydrochloric acid and other inorganic acids to form hydrogen chloride gas and an inorganic salt, which may lead to the development of new products for antimicrobial treatment. N,N'-Diacetylethylenediamine also has been found to inhibit the growth of cancer cells. This drug can be used in studies on surface methodology and radiation-induced structural changes. The chemical species of this compound are activated by the presence of light or heat, which makes it possible to study their reactions under these conditions.
