• Beschreibung: 6,7-Dimethoxy-3H-quinazolin-4-one is a synthetic drug that has been shown to have anticancer activity in vitro and in vivo. This drug binds to the folate receptor and inhibits cell proliferation by interfering with DNA synthesis at the S phase of the cell cycle. 6,7-Dimethoxy-3H-quinazolin-4-one has also been shown to be effective against human acute lymphoblastic leukemia cells. The pharmacokinetic properties of 6,7-dimethoxy-3H-quinazolin-4-one are not well understood due to its short half life. It is metabolized via demethylation, acetylation and thiosemicarbazide reactions.
