The x-ray crystal structure of 2,4-difluorobenzonitrile has been determined and it was found that this molecule is a rigid planar molecule with substantial steric interactions. This inhibition of Hsp90 may also lead to the inhibition of estrogen production by aromatase, which is an enzyme that converts androstenedione into estrone and testosterone into estradiol.
