Dichloro(cycloocta-1,5-diene)ruthenium(II),polymer NA is a polymeric ligand that binds to the active site of neutral endopeptidase and interacts with the chloride ion. Dichloro(cycloocta-1,5-diene)ruthenium(II),polymer NA has been found to be an effective inhibitor of protein synthesis in vitro. In addition, it has been shown to have antiinflammatory properties in vivo. The polymer is synthesized from cyclooctadiene and ruthenium chloride and is composed of two phenyl groups.
