Beschreibung

Dipropylmalonic acid is a low-energy molecule that belongs to the class of amides. It is an activated form of malonic acid and has a hydroxy group, which can be reduced to an alcohol or oxidized to a carboxylic acid. Dipropylmalonic acid has been shown to react with sodium hydroxide solution to form dipropylmalonate, which can be converted into propylene glycol and other molecules.
