Beschreibung

Di[tris(hydroxymethyl)aminomethane] sulfate is a chemical compound that is used as an additive in the food industry. It has been shown to increase the flow rate of water and other liquids through a tube by inhibiting carbonic anhydrase. This results in a lower concentration of carbon dioxide in the liquid, which raises the pH at the end of the tube. Di[tris(hydroxymethyl)aminomethane] sulfate also has been used to study protein folding and chaperone activity. The addition of this chemical to model proteins can stabilize them and prevent aggregation due to its ability to inhibit heat-induced protein denaturation. Di[tris(hydroxymethyl)aminomethane] sulfate inhibits polymerase chain reactions by binding with DNA polymerase, preventing DNA replication from occurring.
