• Beschreibung: Deoxycholic acid is a bile acid that plays an important role in the digestion of fat. Sodium deoxycholate is used as a detergent to solubilize biological samples and increase their sensitivity to analysis. Deoxycholic acid has been shown to bind to toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) and induce a response in cells that can be measured using fluorescence probes. It also has shown activity against infectious diseases, such as primary sclerosing cholangitis, by inducing apoptosis. Sodium deoxycholate monohydrate is used as an injection solution for bowel disease.
