Produktinformation
- Bis-Boc-cystamineN,N'-Bis-tert-butoxycarbonyl-cystamine
Di-Boc-cystamine is a supramolecular compound that is used for the treatment of cancer. It is an acid-sensitive agent that has been shown to be effective in the treatment of cancers. Di-Boc-cystamine binds to collagen, which can be found in high concentrations in cancer cells, and stabilizes it. This stabilization leads to a decreased uptake by tumor cells and subsequently reduced cell growth. The di-boc group also increases the stability of cysteamine by forming a disulfide bond with endogenous thiols. Cysteamine is converted into cystine, which inhibits the production of reactive oxygen species and prevents cellular damage due to oxidative stress.
