Beschreibung

Direct Blue 71 is a water-soluble dye that is used as a colorant in textile and paper industries. It has been used for the treatment of wastewater with electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The high values obtained by this analytical method have been shown to correlate with the surface methodology, adsorption, and radiation. Direct Blue 71 has been found to be toxic in animal studies, but its effect on human health is unknown. The synergic effect of this compound with other substances is not known but may be due to the presence of nitrogen atoms or redox potentials. Langmuir adsorption isotherms were used to determine the affinity of Direct Blue 71 for organic solvents, such as methanol and acetone.
