Beschreibung

N,N'-Dicyclohexyl-4-morpholinecarboxamidine is a potassium channel blocker that has been shown to lower blood pressure in rats and dogs. It is an analog of glibenclamide, a drug used to treat type 2 diabetes. N,N'-Dicyclohexyl-4-morpholinecarboxamidine has been shown to be a natriuretic agent and hypotensive. This compound was prepared by the reaction of morpholine with dicyclohexylcarbodiimide followed by activation with ammonia, which was applied for the preparation of other analogues.
