Beschreibung:
1,1-Dibromoethane is a glycol ester that is used in the production of polyvinyl alcohol. It has been shown to have pharmacokinetic properties and is used in the treatment of infectious diseases. 1,1-Dibromoethane is also an analytical reagent used to determine water vapor content in air. The compound has a boiling point of 130°C and can be stabilized with copper chip for increased thermal stability. 1,1-Dibromoethane has a molecular weight of 136.2 g/mol and contains hydrogen fluoride, sodium carbonate, hydroxyl groups, nitrogen atoms, and light emission as impurities. This compound can also be used for metabolic disorders due to its ability to stimulate glucose uptake by cells.
