3,5-Dichlorophenylacetic acid is a synthetic compound that belongs to the class of ionic compounds. It was first synthesized in the laboratory and has been shown to have potent inhibitory activity against lymphocytes. 3,5-Dichlorophenylacetic acid has also been shown to inhibit the growth of phthalic acid crystals in vitro, which may be due to its interaction with the crystal lattice.
