Beschreibung:
4,5-Dinitrobenzene-1,2-diamine (4,5-DBA) is a tetradentate ligand that has been shown to bind to chloride ions. A red shift in the emission spectrum of 4,5-DBA has been observed when it is dissolved in an organic solvent. The reaction system was shown by functional theory to be dependent on the concentration of chloride ions and the presence of salicylaldehyde. The optical properties were found to depend on quinoxalines and the amines present in the reaction system. 4,5-DBA has been used for analytical methods such as luminescence and crystallography.
