Beschreibung

Daurisoline is a natural compound that has been shown to inhibit the progression of cardiac hypertrophy by decreasing the levels of cytosolic calcium. Daurisoline is also effective in inhibiting the growth of squamous carcinoma cells in vitro. It inhibits cell proliferation and induces cell death through autophagy, which is a process that clears damaged proteins and organelles from the cell. This compound was tested on mice with papillary muscle injury and found to be clinically relevant. The cytotoxic effect of daurisoline was studied using titration calorimetry and surface methodology, which showed its potential as a therapeutic agent for cancer treatment.
