The pharmacokinetic properties of 1DMPP have been studied in rats and mice, which revealed that it is well absorbed when administered orally and has a short terminal half-life. In vitro studies have demonstrated that 1DMPP inhibits cell growth through inhibition of protein synthesis and DNA replication.
