Beschreibung

2',7-Dihydroxyflavone is a hydrophobic flavonoid that inhibits the enzyme telomerase, which is an important component of cells. This drug has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells in vitro and in vivo by interfering with their ability to synthesize DNA. Telomerase is also a target for other drugs that are being developed for the treatment of cancer and other diseases. 2',7-Dihydroxyflavone has been shown to have antioxidant properties, which may be due to its ability to activate detoxifying enzymes such as glutathione reductase and catalase. This drug also has anti-inflammatory properties, which may be related to its ability to normalize the expression of genes involved in inflammatory responses.
