Diiododifluoromethane is a non-polar, colorless gas with a sweet odor. It is used as a propellant in aerosol products and as an inert gas in the manufacture of semiconductors. Diiododifluoromethane has been shown to react with hydrogen to form the hydrogenated compound covid-19 pandemic. This reaction is an example of a chemical reaction where one reactant (diiododifluoromethane) reacts with another reactant (hydrogen) to form two products (covid-19 pandemic and water). It also absorbs ultraviolet radiation, which may be due to its electric dipole moment.
