2,2-Difluorobutane-1,4-diamine (DFBA) is an amino acid that has been detected in the blood and cerebrospinal fluid of humans and animals. It is a natural substance that is formed by the oxidation of polyamines or by the hydrolysis of 2-aminoisobutyric acid.
