This drug is an inhibitor of regulatory GTPases and primary amines, which are involved in the regulation of cell proliferation. 1-DFPP also inhibits the ring-opening reaction and can be used for optimization of arylpiperazines. It has been shown to have inhibitory activities on both TNF-α and IL-10 in vitro. The drug was evaluated orally in mice and showed promising results with regards to reducing inflammation. 1-DFPP is currently undergoing clinical trials as an anti-cancer agent.
