2-{[Ethoxy(oxo)acetyl]amino}benzoic acid is a chemical compound with the molecular formula CHNO. It is a colorless solid that is soluble in water and has a melting point of 122 °C. 2-{[Ethoxy(oxo)acetyl]amino}benzoic acid can be synthesized by assembling two molecules of ethyl acetoacetate and one molecule of benzaldehyde. The grignard reaction, which proceeds with triethylamine, yields the desired product. The geometry of 2-{[Ethoxy(oxo)acetyl]amino}benzoic acid's chains are planar and hydrogen bonds are present between the molecules.
