Beschreibung:
1-Ethoxy-4-isocyanatobenzene is a hydrazide that is used as an antibacterial agent. This drug has been shown to inhibit the growth of gram-positive bacteria, including Staphylococcus aureus and S. epidermidis in vitro. 1-Ethoxy-4-isocyanatobenzene has also been shown to have antimicrobial activity against other opportunistic pathogens such as Enterococcus faecalis, E. coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Klebsiella pneumoniae. It is not active against acid hydrazide resistant strains of S. aureus or Enterococci species (Enterococcus faecalis).
