Beschreibung:
4-Ethyl-7-hydroxy-2H-chromen-2-one is a synthetic antithrombotic agent that inhibits both the synthesis and action of thrombin. It has been shown to be effective in animal models of thrombosis, and is currently being used as an oral antithrombotic treatment. 4E7HC exhibits an enantiomeric preference for the l-xylose substrate, with a 50% higher affinity than the d form. 4E7HC's antithrombotic activity has been shown to be more potent than that of other synthetic analogues such as 2H6HC and 7E4HC.
