- 4-Ethoxyphenylacetylene
- 1-Ethoxy-4-Ethynylbenzene
- Benzene, 1-ethoxy-4-ethynyl- (9CI)
4-Ethoxy phenyl acetylene is a potent antiproliferative compound that has been shown to cause cell death by cleaving the bond between two carbon atoms in the molecule. This reaction results in the formation of an epoxide and a dipole, which can be seen in simulations and biomolecular techniques. The compound also has a luminescent property. 4-Ethoxy phenyl acetylene is synthesized by reacting ethoxybenzene with acetylene, and has been shown to have stereoselective properties when used as an acceptor for alkyne coupling reactions.
